School News

Updated Mon, Jul 29th

There are many videos and links for students and families this week.  We hope the information helps everyone navigate the last several days of school and into the summer.

At this point, we expect our yearbook shipment to arrive from Tennessee late this week.  There is no ETA for the 8th Grade Panorama Picture.  We will communicate with all families the manner in which you may collect one or both of these once we confirm receipt and determine quantities.  There are a few dozen extra yearbooks for interested families that may be purchased at school.

Good evening, families.  This week's video details how we hope parents enter campus as RHMS collects important items, and where we want parents to park if a child left something of value in the locker room or classroom.  If a child needs to enter campus, we ask that he or she wears a mask.  And if you have two or more children at RHMS in different grade levels, we'd suggest that they arrive during the 8th grade window if at all possible.

As the video indicates, yearbooks have yet to arrive.  We will let families know when they do and create a separate collection location.

Parents, please remember that teacher assigned learning continues through June 4th, while Flexible Learning, assigned by CUSD, will start on the 5th.

Should you have questions, the office will be available to take calls at 408-364-4200 extension 5150.

We hope that you are all very well.

So that we may have oversight as nearly 1050 students potentially arrive at RHMS over the next two weeks, we ask that families do everything they can to follow the assigned dates and times.

Please take a glance at the schedule and what we suggest students return.  For very specific items, teachers are sending reminders on Google Classroom and SeeSaw.

If you can have your child's name on a piece of paper taped to the passenger side window, this will help us immensely.

Should students need to enter campus to collect anything, cars will be directed to a second parking lot.  With facial covering, students will line up on taped markers along the office wall and be allowed entrance in very limited numbers.  Their exit will be directly into that same parking lot.

Please be mindful that yearbooks have yet to arrive, as the publisher's California plant was not able to operate for several weeks.  We will communicate with families when they arrive.

We hope your Memorial Day weekend was relaxing.  Our video this week has a few reminders for our students and families regarding end of the year plans, and for our sixth and seventh graders a request to complete the elective sign-up link that teachers placed into Google Classroom and/or SeeSaw last week.

Hello, families!  We know there are many questions, as we find ourselves halfway through May.  We are pleased to share a variety of video messages this week to help clarify what we know and how families and students may prepare.

A summary of our methods to wind down the school year is here for all see.  Video for all.

Information that is specific to our 8th graders is here for all to see.  Video for 8th grade.

Information that is specific to our 6th and 7th graders is here for all to see.  Video for 6th and 7th grade.

While the video announcements will help clarify our end-of-the-year plans, flyers with specific details will be shared on a variety of platforms with students and guardians by Wednesday afternoon of this week.  Platforms will include Google Classroom, SeeSaw, and email.

We hope you're all well.

Good morning, Eagles.  We are glad that you are online and reading this!  A video to preview is here.

This week, students will receive a Thought Exchange link to help us better understand what Distance Learning is like from the perspectives of our students.  It is vital that we hear from them, as we want to determine what has been successful and what we can improve upon for the remainder of the year.

Please make it a point to attend Zoom meetings that teachers host.  It is important to us that we stay connected with you!

We miss you.

Mr. Cribari and Mrs. Vanderbosch

Students in seventh grade will be taking the California Healthy Kids Survey on May 11th.  This survey measures school connectedness, school climate, school safety, and student well-being.  The information from the survey helps us plan programs and activities aimed at supporting all students.
If you do not want your child to participate in this survey, please email or call Ms.  Vanderbosch at avanderbosch [at] campbellusd.org by Friday May 11th.  A copy of the survey is below:

Hello, RHMS families.  Last week's video had well over 100 students actively email me the Justin Timberlake song title.  We will try to do something fun like that on a weekly basis.  This week, we are working on a message to students embedded in a staff collage.

A new video that describes some of the happenings for this week and a request of you all is here.  (My apologies that the family dog had no desire to be a participant.)

Be safe, and be well.

Mr. Cribari and Mrs. Vanderbosch
