5/6 Eagle Band

The RHMS 5/6 Eagle Band is a group dedicated to the solid beginning of a musical education. During the first two weeks of class, students will learn how band class functions and will be able to sample instruments in order to select the right one for them. This ensemble will perform three concerts of exciting and challenging music and celebrate the end of the year with a movie party!

I'd like to throw a party for the Eagle Band after school on Thursday, 6/7, but I need your help in order to do it!  I received an offer from somebody to bring the pizza, but I still need about 4 adults to come help with the set-up, distribution of food, and clean up!  I'll need you from about 2:45 to 4:00 PM.  Please let me know if you are willing to help out or else I may be forced to cancel the event!

Updated Thu, May 24th

In order to celebrate the end of their very successful first year in band, I'll be throwing a pizza and movie party for the members of the Eagle Band on Thursday, June 7th, from 3:07 (the end of the school day) to 5:45 PM (the end of the movie).

First, the members of the Eagle Band will be invited to the cafeteria to enjoy some pizza and Notes & Floats leftovers (root beer floats and bake sale items) for 30 minutes.  Students not interested in the movie will head home at 3:45 while those wishing to stay and watch will move into the band room for a special screening of August Rush (2007, rated PG https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0426931/parental... ) that will last unti 5:45 PM.  I will send home a permission slip asking each student to choose how much of the party they wish to attend, so please keep an eye out for that.

I need some help in order to pull this off.  Read on if you are interested in helping out!

First, I need somebody to volunteer to order the pizza, purchase the pizza, and bring it to the school cafeteria at 3:00 PM. I will coordinate with this volunteer concerning how much pizza is needed, and the volunteer will submit their receipt to the Music Boosters for reimbursement.

Also, I'll need 3 or 4 parents to help with the actual party.  They will set up the food and supervise the students as they enjoy it.  These volunteers will help the kids get their goodies in an orderly fashion, scoop ice cream and pour root beer for the floats, and help me and the students with the clean up effort.  I'll need these volunteers from about 2:30 to 4:00 PM.

Please contact me via email (mrawlinson [at] campbellusd.org) if you'd like to help with this fun event!  Be sure to let me know if you'd like to be the pizza purchaser or the party helper.  I appreciate it!

Hi Music Community,

We are having our next meeting on Monday at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria.  I have attached the agenda and meeting minutes from the prior meeting.  We have a lot of events in April and welcome anyone who can make it to join us in our discussions.  We are also still in need of emails for all parents to finish out the year strong and help set up next year so if you do not see a fellow parent's email on the list, please forward this email and ask them to add their contact information (their name, child's name & class, and email).
Please note we have 1 open position still to fill for this year.  We need someone to help with Band events.  There are about 2 events that we need to a coordinator to transport all the kids' instruments to and from the competition event.
Open positions for next year that we still need volunteers:
President

Notes & Floats
Band Events
Please let me know if you are interested in any of the above.  I can provide more information and direct you to the current committee member.
