Happy Friday,
Graded work was sent home today in Miss Perris’ classes. Please ask your child to see it.
The gold group will receive Mr. Chen’s welcome letter on Monday. The letter will need to be signed and returned to school.
PINK conference forms were sent home today. Please complete the form, and return it to school as soon as possible. Conferences will be held on Monday, October 30th - Friday, November 3rd. Students must attend the conference with parents.

Friday, 10/6 will be the first official 5th/6th grade Game Day from 3:15 - 4:45 pm in the cafeteria. The cost of the ticket is $2.00. Permission slips will be sent home next week. Students will not be able to participate without a signed permission slip.

The CIA (Compassion in Action Club) is continuing to collect items for our homeless community. They are collecting the following items (short list): travel toothbrush, travel toothpaste, travel tissues, deodorant, socks, mittens/gloves, chapstick, baby/adult wipes, beef jerky, oatmeal pouches, etc. Whatever you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.
BOX TOPS COMPETITION WILL BE HELD DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER. The winning class will receive an ice cream cone party! Please place BOX TOPS in a baggie, along with your child’s name and the number of BOX TOPS enclosed. Have your child give them to his/her core teacher. As always, thank you for your support.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held October 30 through November 3, 2017. Volunteers are needed:
Before School – 8:00 – 8:35 a.m.
Break – 10:05 – 10:25
Lunch – 11:45 – 12:45
After School – 2:07 – 2:45

2. Mrs. Donovan will hold her homework center on Mondays from 3:15 - 3:45 pm.
3. Miss Perris will hold her homework club on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:15.
4. CHEER TRYOUTS ARE BACK ON!! Clinics: Mon., 10/2/17 @ 4:30-5:30 pm and Tue., 10/3/17 @ 4:30-5:30 (meet in N2). Parent Meeting: Wed., 10/4/17 @ 5:30-6:30. Tryouts: Thurs., 10/5/17 @ 4:30 pm. Please see Mr. Aguayo in N2 for further information.
Homework for 9/29/17:
Language Arts (Perris only): Grammar quiz retakes on Monday if student received a score of 6 or below.
Social Studies: Students can find the social studies book online. Direct your child to ca.hss.glencoe.com.
Math: No homework
Science: Walden West packet due back as soon as possible.
Reading/Literature: Please read 20 MINUTES every day at home. An AR book should be in a student's backpack at all times.
