Happy Baskin-Robbins Thursday,
If your child is struggling with writing the informational essay, they should plan on staying after school TODAY for Homework Center. I will be able to provide additional support at that time.
You are welcome to go onto the Scholastic Book Club website and order books for your child (or the classroom). The website is clubs.scholastic.com and our class code is H3YRK.
The next Magic the Gathering meeting is on Monday, 2/26 in room B-1.
Cookies with the RHMS Counselors — Ms. Wood and Ms. G. This is a time for parents to meet with the counselors to learn about some of the counseling themes that have been presented to students. There will be a Question and Answer time for any added concerns or thoughts. Time: TODAY from 4:00 - 5:15 pm. The meeting will take place in the RHMS Faculty Lounge.
Please make sure that your child is reading every night for at least 30 minutes. All of the glitches have been worked out of the AR program, so students should be taking a quiz immediately upon completion of their book.
Family Bingo Night (sponsored by the PTA) will be held at RHMS on Friday, 2/16.
Homework for 2/8/18:
Language Arts (Perris only): Work on the informational essay at home. The essay will be due next week (date to follow). Please feel free to read your child’s essay. At this point, many students are having trouble with sentence structure. If you see real concerns, please ask your child to come and see me.
Language Arts (Chen only): Complete Reading Log
Social Studies (Perris only):
*India map due TOMORROW
*India test (and packet due) on Thursday, 2/15 (before winter break). The test will consist of 30 fill-in-the-blank questions (includes a word bank).
*We will begin our unit on China when we return from break.

Science (All): Measurement quiz TOMORROW. Please review notebook pages.
Reading/Literature (Perris only): Please read 30 MINUTES every day at home.
