Join fellow RHMS families
at the March 21 PTA Association Meeting
7:00pm in the Staff Lounge
When you attend this meeting, your student(s) will receive a monthly "Let's Do Lunch" pass, which entitles them to an extended lunch every Wednesday (students are dismissed to lunch 3 minutes early -- avoiding the lunch rush in the cafeteria).
This month's agenda includes the Executive Board slate for the 2018-2019 school year.
Please join us!
Attention 8th grade parents: The promotion ceremony packets are going home with the 8th grade students on Friday, March 16th. Please check and initial ALL information on this document. Make any corrections to the document itself and sign at the bottom. This will be your only opportunity to review this important information. Return forms to your child’s SCIENCE teacher by Friday, March 23rd.
State testing is almost here! The window begins immediately after Spring Break- April 16th. We have not officially set our testing dates at this time, but are looking at possibly beginning either April 23 or 30. Testing will continue for 2-3 weeks after that. We will post our schedule as soon as we have our dates set. Please remember to limit appointments (if possible) in order to provide as little disruption to your child’s testing schedule as possible.
On another note, we always want to be good neighbors in our community. Please do not take “short cuts” through neighboring properties when dropping off or picking up your child at school. We’ve also had a number of incidents reported after school at Safeway involving our students. Please remember we have no supervision on private property, especially after school and off campus. Picking up your child in a timely manner or having your child walk home immediately after school is always the best option.
Dear RHMS Family,This call for volunteers is directed to all grades -- 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th.
The 8th grade Promotion Party and Promotion Day event only happen when all our families come together to support each other. This is a long standing tradition at RHMS and it is one worth holding on to. Your time and donations are urgently needed. We need 7th grade families to volunteer to chair the two committees and we need 5th, 6th and 7th grade families in particular to help. Our 8th grade families are invited to help with the Yearbook signing party, but they are not allowed to help on June 13, 2018. They are to enjoy the ceremony and celebrate their promoting 8th grader. This is a very special occasion for both student and family.
IMPORTANT: If you have already signed up, please log in again and check for shift times and specific food or item requests. Mark your choices.
Please, pay it forward... support our 8th grade students and families so that when you are in 8th grade others will step up and support you. If you have volunteered before, you are especially asked to volunteer again and help train those that are coming up next.
On behalf of all promoting 8th graders, who have been dreaming of these events, your participation is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
The Class of 2018
