Miss Perris' 6th Grade ELA, Reading, and Social Studies

9/5/18

Hello Parents,

Congratulations to Amber Lopez, our new Student Council representative, and Michael Gilhooly, our alternate Student Council representative (gold group students).
We are starting to lose a lot of students to illness.  Unfortunately, when one of us gets sick, the rest will follow.  PLEASE keep your child at home if they have:
1.  Had a fever/chills in the past 24 hrs.
2.  Have vomited in the past 24 hrs.
3.  Complain of a sore throat or severe headache
Thank you for your support with this!
Please remember that ALL students need to be reading every night for 20 mins., even if it is not their Reading/Literature week.
Important information for both groups:
1.  Back to School Night is TONIGHT.  This is a night for parents only.  Classrooms are open at 6:00 pm.  We look forward to seeing all of you.  Remember that our doors are always open, so feel free to stop by anytime.
2.  We will be attending science camp from Tuesday, January 15, 2019 to Friday, January 18, 2019.  The cost for science camp is $320.00.
3.  Flower Power Fundraiser - This is our first fundraiser for science camp!  Information was sent home with students.  With this fundraiser, your child will receive 50% of the profits they earn to put toward the fee for science camp.  MAKE SURE THAT THE ADDRESS ON THE FORM IS LEGIBLE because the bulbs will be sent DIRECTLY to the customer.  If you need more forms, please let us know.  Everything is due back on Friday, September 14.
