Happy Tuesday,
Congratulations to Bailey Wilcox (Student Council representative) and Ethan Nolan (alternate Student Council representative) from the green group.  And, a big shout-out to all students who threw their name in the hat — this takes courage, for sure.
Important information for both groups:
1.  Flower Power Fundraiser - This is our first fundraiser for science camp!  Information was sent home with students.  With this fundraiser, your child will receive 50% of the profits they earn to put toward the fee for science camp.  MAKE SURE THAT THE ADDRESS ON THE FORM IS LEGIBLE because the bulbs will be sent DIRECTLY to the customer.  If you need more forms, please let us know.  Everything is due back on Friday, September 14 Please make checks payable to Rolling Hills Middle School.
 
2.  Rolling Hills presents Peter Pan, Jr.  Open to all in grades 6th-8th attending Rolling Hills.  Auditions are on October 1st and 2nd.  The cost is $150.00.  Register online at cusdextensions.asapconnected.com.  For questions, please call 408-364-4200 ext. 6204 or 6378.  
 
3.  Additional fundraiser on the horizon:  Cookie dough - Monday, Oct. 1 - Friday, Oct. 12 (40% profit)
4.  Baskin-Robbins Thursdays - Visit the Baskin-Robbins across the street and tell them that you are from Rolling Hills.  20% of the sales from that day will be donated to the RHMS science camp fund.  ***Thursdays ONLY!!
Homework for 9/11/18:
 
Reading/Literature:  READ 20 mins. every night including weekends!  
***If a student is not sure if the book they are reading is an AR book, they can go to www.arbookfind.com.  Simply type in the name of the book, and it will tell you if the book is an AR book.
Language Arts:  
*Study grammar review (Tuesday) - 5 mins.
*Study vocabulary packet for vocabulary quiz TOMORROW (matching and multiple choice - 10 questions, worth 10 assessment points) — Students do NOT need to study the section on derivatives!
*Grammar quiz on Friday, 9/14
Math:  Page 35
Science:  No homework
Social Studies:  The archaeology quiz will most likely be Friday, Sept. 14.
