Miss Perris' 6th Grade ELA, Reading, and Social Studies

Happy Tuesday,

There are many students who currently have an F in social studies because they have not turned in the Egypt map.  It’s really important that students are turning in assignments on time.  Additionally, I need students to tape their AR Diagnostic Report into their planner.
We are having our 1st Annual 6th grade Movie Afternoon on Friday, December 8th from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.  The cost is $5.00 which includes the movie, soda, and a bag of popcorn.  All movies will be supervised by 6th grade teachers.  Movies include:  Despicable Me 3, Jumanji, Elf, Home Alone 2, and Howl’s Moving Castle.  We look forward to seeing all of our students at the movies!! :)
Please remind students that they MUST purchase a ticket by Thursday at 4PM.

The movies start promptly at 3:30 pm.  Please make sure that there is someone to pick them up by 5:30 pm.  There will be a concession stand open right after school on Friday.  We will have:

• candy bars ($1 each)—ONE PER PERSON

• Sour punch sticks (2 for 25¢)

• extra bags of popcorn (50¢ each)

• extra soda (50¢ each)

The CIA is collecting gift cards for needy families in our community.  Some stores to consider would be:  Safeway, Target, Walmart, Lucky, etc.  Any denomination is welcomed!  Gift cards are due by December 21.  Thank you as always for your support.

There will be a 5/6th grade dance right after school on Friday, December 15th.  Permission slips are required to attend the dance.

Hot cocoa is being sold before school for 50¢ per cup.  Students can purchase it in the Eagle’s Nest.

Candy grams will go on sale in December.  The cost is 50¢ or 3 for $1.00.
