RHMS is starting a Toy Drive TODAY!  We are asking for new toys that are appropriate for middle school aged children (no video games or gift cards, please).  The last day to donate toys will be Friday, 12/14.  Thanks as always for your support.
There will be a Walden West representative coming to RHMS on Thursday, 12/6 to talk to our students about what to expect at science camp.  Stay tuned for more information.

COLLECTING ALL BOX TOPS!! If you have been collecting BOX TOPS, Please bring then to your 1st period teacher.  PLEASE put the BOX TOPS in a baggie and write your child’s name/# of BOX TOPS on the baggie.  We will be collecting BOX TOPS throughout the year, so if you can start saving them now, that would be great!!  Thanks for your support.
Homework for 12/3/18:

Reading/Literature:  READ 25 mins. every night including weekends!  Green group students took the STAR Reading Diagnostic today in class.  Results will be reviewed with individual students tomorrow.

Language Arts:

*Review grammar worksheet
*STUDY the vocabulary packet - Lesson 27
*Vocabulary quiz on Wednesday, 12/5
*Grammar quiz on Friday, 12/7

Math:  Students are in the middle of Module 6 on rates and ratios.  We started lesson 3 today and not all students had their materials.  Please make sure your child has at least the module we are working on in their backpack.  Having the book is fine, too.  They can just rip out pages as we use them.
For homework today, students will be building two ratio tables to compare rates that are different.  There are four problems on a worksheet.  They need to construct ratio tables in order to solve these.  We did page 161 (lemonade concentrate: water) today in class, so they can use that as a reference.  The quiz for all of Module 6 will be this Thursday, December 6.
Science:  We are continuing with presentations on organ systems.  If your child has not presented, he/she should be practicing at home.  Please ask to see his/her notes (blue and green papers).

Social Studies:  No homework.
Have a great night.

Ms. Perris/Ms. Harrington
