Miss Perris' 6th Grade ELA, Reading, and Social Studies

12/19/18

Happy Wednesday,

Thank you to Ms. Nedda Ashjaee (Keion’s mom) for helping us with our pizza party!!  Our students devoured 10 boxes of pizza, along with barbecue chicken wings, cookies, and assorted candies.

It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the end of 2018.  It seems like this school year is going by faster than other years.  Before you know it, we will be off to science camp.

I spoke with every student individually about reading over the break.  If a student did not have an AR book, they checked out one from my library (or the school library).  I hope that all students use part of this break to read every day.  It’s that important!  Speaking of reading, I know that many of my AR books are at your homes, needing to be returned.  If you could do a “sweep” of your house over the break, that would be wonderful.
Just a reminder that we will be heading off to science camp on Tuesday, 1/15/19 and returning to school on Friday, 1/18/19.  Please make camp checks payable to RHMS and make sure to include your child’s name in the memo portion of the check.  The amount for science camp this year is $320.00.

Ms. Harrington and I want to thank you for the support you have given to us this year.  It is greatly appreciated.  We wish you all a restful and safe holiday!

Homework for 12/19/18:
