Happy Tuesday,
 
There will be Homework Center TODAY but not on Thursday.  I apologize but I have been scheduled for another meeting after school on Thursday.  There will be Homework Center next week on 11/13 and 11/15.
 
Math club is underway!  Meetings are held on Wednesdays after school in the cafeteria.
 
BLUE science camp packets have been sent home.  PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PACKET.  ALL FORMS ARE DUE BACK BY FRIDAY, 11/30 (or sooner).  ALL FORMS NEED TO BE RETURNED TO YOUR CHILD’S 1ST PERIOD TEACHER.  The week we are attending camp is January 15, 2019 - January 18, 2019.
 
The GREEN form is ONLY NECESSARY if your child will be taking ANY medications to camp (this includes over the counter medications).  The green form will need to be completed by your child’s pediatrician.

There will be a choir concert next Thursday, 11/15 at 6:30 pm.  Everyone is welcome!
COLLECTING ALL BOX TOPS!! If you have been collecting BOX TOPS, Please bring then to your 1st period teacher.  PLEASE put the BOX TOPS in a baggie and write your child’s name/# of BOX TOPS on the baggie.  We will be collecting BOX TOPS throughout the year, so if you can start saving them now, that would be great!!  Thanks for your support.
Homework for 11/6/18: 
 
Reading/Literature:  READ 20 mins. every night including weekends!  A reminder that all students must meet their AR goal by next Friday, 11/16 (end of trimester 1).  
 
Language Arts:

Math:  Study for the Module 5 math quiz tomorrow.  Module 5 is adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing of decimal numbers (often called decimal fractions). You will see assignments from lesson 5.1: dividing whole numbers, 5.2: adding + subtracting decimals, 5.3: multiplying decimals, 5.4: dividing decimals, and 5.5: Strategies for word problems.  The half sheet self-corrected quiz covers all operations on the quiz tomorrow except for long division of multi-digit numbers.  Please see attached equation/answer sheet for today’s practice word problems.
Science:  Give science camp packet to parents.
 
Social Studies:  Egypt map is due Thursday, 11/8.
