Happy Monday,
Heart & Sole is Girls on the Run’s after-school
program that gives 6-8th grade girls the tools to
be healthy, happy, and confident. Heart & Sole
is more than just a running program! The 10-
week curriculum focuses on the whole girl -
body, brain, heart, social, spirit - using fun games
and activities to teach her how to set goals
and boundaries, ask for and receive help, set up a
support system, and more! Physical activity
is woven into the program, helping the girls increase
their strength and endurance for the Girls on
the Run 5K on May 18. Registration is open! Go

Math: Students will turn in the learning map/note taking paper for 11.4 (Module 11, Lesson 4) and the homework page from the workbook - 325-326, #6-19 tomorrow. We filled in the learning map today; please check that your child has it filled in with notes. Your child will staple the learning map to the homework page (p. 325-326) and turn them in tomorrow.
Science: It is fortuitous that our own 8th grade Exhibition presentations and our science presentations are tomorrow. In the spirit of this, I have written a rubric that lists the skills we are practicing. I have attached them here. Please review them with your child. Make sure your child knows what topic he or she is presenting tomorrow, and the group member who is presenting next. We practiced transitions today. Each group discussed how to dress, as well.
Social Studies: Map of China due TOMORROW.

Have a great night.
