We work with the Campbell Police Department, as well as Los Gatos-Monte Sereno PD, to help remind motorists of safe driving habits.

Please:

  • avoid parking adjacent to red curbs, as it is unsafe for other motorists and pedestrians
  • be alert to driving the posted speed limits
  • pay close attention to crossing our guards' directions
  • consider leaving a few moments later to collect your children so that traffic may settle

We have nearly 800 students, as well as potentially several dozen from Westmont who travel over the catwalk and on Pollard Avenue at nearly the same time.  Your attention to our requests and traffic safety laws keeps everyone safe.

As we run an extensive after school sports program and want all students to build relationships with each other, RHMS hosts a Sport a Thon fundraiser during the school day.  The event is open to all students who sign up... to play a variety of active games during the day.  It may be pickleball, badminton, flag football, baseketball, jogging the track, rocks, volleyball, zombie tag, etc.

We seek dozens of parents who can support this endeavor... on Thursday, November 7th.  Support is simply supervision of the activities, as students rotate through them.

Sixth grade students participate during periods 3 and 4, from approximately 10:30 to 12:30, while seventh and eighth graders are from approximately 1:00 to the end of school.

Please, please let our Athletic Director, Mrs. Carmon Allen, know of your availability to supervise an "event."  We would so appreciate it!  She may be reached at callen [at] campbellusd.org.

RHMS Eagles Soared to Cross Country Victory

As of Wednesday, October 9th, the 2024 Cross Country season has come to an end. This season we had roughly eighty runners participating in practices that took us throughout the surrounding neighborhoods, up steep hills and around previously unknown streets.

This dedication to attending practice and meets that our Rolling Hills runners have proudly shown this season has resulted in stand out individuals and multiple championship teams.

This season, two athletes in particular have stood out as kind, dedicated, encouraging, and achieving, receiving the Jane Duff Outstanding Cross Country Athlete Award:

Mila Spajic and Shotaro Horibe

Both these athletes have consistently shown up to practice, cheered on their teammates, and committed themselves to running as their best selves. These traits are displayed by many members of the team, but have radiated from both Mila and Shotaro for many running seasons.

In addition to these outstanding individuals, we have the pleasure of announcing three championship teams this season: the 7th grade boys, the 8th grade girls, and the 8th grade boys.

All three teams invested deeply this season in their own running abilities and each other. And as coaches, we often stand in awe at the team’s positivity and commitment to practicing with vigor. These teams, particularly our 8th graders who will be moving on to high school running, will be missed.

Please lend us a hand in congratulating the following championship runners:

7th Grade Boys

Esey Ghebremedhin

Zen Kerimbekov

Artsiom Yakavets

Frankie Roher

Mason Zankich

Kaeden D’Arcangelo

Whittaker Steger

8th Grade Girls

Mila Spajic

Jordyn Powell

Ting Lian

Lea Rushatakankovit

Audrey Dern

Sienna Lopez

Sophia Shin

8th Grade Boys

Alex Xu

Shotaro Horibe

Alex Villanueva

Rito Imai

Andrew Moore

Raj Chitambar

Brandon Ho

And an honorable mention to the 7th Grade Girls team, who placed second at the league meet.

Thank you everyone for a wonderful season,

Coach Maruyama and Coach Ramos

To facilitate conferences with parents and students, all CUSD schools end approximately two hours early this week.

RHMS will start at 8:30 and end at 12:58.

Our 7th and 8th grade conferences will start at 1:30 in the RHMS gym.  This allows us to have students leave campus, complete yard duty, gather our thoughts and a snack, and be in the gym.

The manner in which we manage 600 conferences is to use an arena style system.  Please attempt to follow this schedule so that we may best support 120 families a day.

6th grade families will have already received information from their children's core of teachers.  Should sixth grade families wish to visit with exploratory or elective teachers, they will be in the gymnasium.

If you have questions,  you may contact our office at 408-364-4200 extension 5150.
