RHMS Updates

WIth a successful initial three days, welcome to the weekend!

  • Our single lunch has thus far been effective.  As a result of meeting with our CUSD Child Nutrition Department, we have a new array and method to help facilitate quicker service.  Beginning next week, provided campus remains clean and simple expectations are followed, we will allow students the opportunity to check out playground equipment, including volleyballs, basketballs, regular soccer balls, a felt type soccer ball for soccer/tennis.  We ask that students leave their own equipment at home, as we do not wish to spend time retrieving personal equipment from the roofs or having to identify who owns a particular item.  Distributing equipment will occur after the initial 20 minutes of lunch to allow for calories to be consumed by all students.
  • Schedule changes may still occur as we are looking at enrollment on a daily basis.  It is our intention to balance classes with as little effect on a student's schedule as possible.
  • We continue to share with students quick videos that remind them of our RHMS expectations.  This week involved an introduction to Mr. Cribari and Mrs. Marty, lunchtime routines, and a review of CUSD online and cellphone expectations.
  • Speaking of online expectations, now that students have spent time reviewing them, it is our expectation to remotely enable our 7th and 8th grade Chromebooks on Monday.  We also plan to deploy Chromebooks to sixth graders on Wednesday of this week.
  • WIthout alarming anyone, we'd like to reiterate just how important it is to be patient driving around campus.  The "Safeway parking lot" is not a pick up or drop off zone, and the merchants at that shopping center remind us of this daily.  Please drive safely and consider a slightly later pick-up or carpool to help alleviate some of the traffic.

We look forward to recharding and working with you and your children next week.  Enjoy spending time outside this weekend.
