News

Welcome to the News section. To post news items, please click the button in the upper-right corner of the screen and select "Create News Page." Each news page should be an individual assignment and should have a unique title.

Each news post will appear in feeds, or lists. By default, news posts will populate feeds on your home page and in this news section. Parents and students can subscribe to these feeds by clicking on the envelope icon in the bottom right corner of each feed.

Every time you post an additional news page, it will appear at the top of the feed and push previous posts down the page. When creating or editing an important news page that should stay at the top of the feed, you should select the checkbox "Sticky at top of lists" under Publishing Options.

Please click the Edit button in the right column to delete and replace the above text with information relevant to your classes.

This week, we'll wrap up our study of life in the Colonies (chapter 4) with a writing assignment, which will serve as the assessment for this chapter. Students will be writing an article for the London Chronicle, which will correct some of the incorrect assumptions the English have about the colonies. On Tuesday, we'll begin our study of Chapter 5 ("Toward Independence").
