Principal's Corner October 23, 2015
We had a wonderful turnout for our first Family Movie Night of the year, featuring Hotel Transylvania. Thank you to our PTA for hosting movie nights, and thank you to all the families who joined us. Proceeds from the concession stands were donated to our 6th grade science camp fund!
We participated in the Great American Shakeout on Thursday, October 15th, at 10:16am. Our students behaved wonderfully, and know what to do in the event of an earthquake. Just a reminder: be sure to review with your family where to meet, where to wait and who to call when an emergency stirkes. It's always wise to have a family plan!
On October 27th, large trucks going to the Rinconada Water Treatment Plant will be on Pollard and More Avenue as early as 8:00am. Normally, the trucks are not in the area until after students are in class. Remind students to be safe, always crossing only at the crosswalk and under the direction of crossing guards.
Last, but not least, I'm looking forward to attending the Marshall Lane Pumpkin Walk. It is this Saturday, October 25th. Our RHMS students will be volunteering at the Pumpkin Walk again this year. If you can make it to the Pumpkin Walk, be sure to say 'hi' to our kids!
