RHMS PTA recently approved of $7000 to help supplement the purchase of new equipment for the Physical Education Department's Cardio Room. Our 7th and 8th graders have access to physical fitness at all times of the year; if it rains or is too hot, students may utilize this amazing space! New eliptical trainers and wind resistance bikes have added much to our program.

Our second round of clubs starts next week. Whether badminton, art and illustration, jazz band, yearbook, disc golf, tabletop gaming, speech and debate, running, or soccer and speed, we offer a wealth of opportunities for students to be with peers and staff or community volunteers in a positive environment.
On Mondays and Thursdays, we also proudly offer Homework Center staffed by at least two teachers and sometimes as many as five, while ELD Homework Club is on Tuesdays, staffed by two teachers.
On behalf of our students, we greatly appreciate our RHMS PTA's support.
Whether grandparents, parents, siblings, or pets, students and staff honored those who they have loved during Dia de los Muertos celebrations.
Middle school social studies content covers what can be termed "the dawn of time." Bringing seventh grade standards alive, our very own Mr. Firenze worked with a local group to help our students experience aspects of medieval time.
This year's Red Ribbon Week was "Life is a Puzzle. Solve it Drug-Free." In coordination with our counselor, Ms. Cheng, our Leadership class actively engaged with their peers in knowledge based questions, pledges, and a poster campaign during lunch. With tobacco and THC based vaping more and more accessible to students, we expect this reminder to serve a purpose as students encounter complex situations.
Students enjoyed a lively performance filled with singing, dancing, and even a few spontaneous conga lines. It was a wonderful way to honor Mexican culture and bring our school community together through music and joy!
Papel Picado, meaning “perforated paper,” is a traditional Mexican folk art that involves cutting intricate designs into colorful tissue paper. Historically used to decorate celebrations such as Día de los Muertos, weddings, and fiestas, it symbolizes the blending of indigenous and Spanish cultural traditions.
