Weekly Updates and SSC Voting

Clubs are up and running!  Please remember that there is a HW Club on Tuesday and Thursday in Rooms E1 and E2 from 3:15 ot 4:15.  While both teachers who host the club teach Math 8 and CAP 8, students may arrive and find a safe place to complete any homework.  Of course, if there are math questions, this a perfect time to receive a little more support.  Attendance does not require a commitment or formally signing up, rather checking in with a parent.  We are encouraging students to call home as they arrive to close the communication loop.

Voting for School Site Council is here.  Voting starts at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10 and closes at 4:00 pm, Friday, October 13.  There are three openings, so we ask that you vote for no more than three.  Ballots that have more than three selections will be removed from the final tally.

A group of students is working with our PBIS Coordinator, Adriana Paz, and just set our first school dance with a Western theme.  Slated for Friday, October 27th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Expectations for entrance include a minimum 2.00 GPA and no Fs, along with behaviors that have been in line with our school day.  A permission slip will be available to students early next week.  There is a suggested $5 donation.
