The Start of Hispanic Heritage Month

We kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with a festive Papel Picado art activity during lunch on Friday!

Papel Picado, meaning “perforated paper,” is a traditional Mexican folk art that involves cutting intricate designs into colorful tissue paper. Historically used to decorate celebrations such as Día de los Muertos, weddings, and fiestas, it symbolizes the blending of indigenous and Spanish cultural traditions.
