School Site Council
Good morning.
As we are a month into school, we are looking to fill our School Site Council (SSC) positions.
SSC is an advisory group of teachers, parents, and administrators who work together to monitor a school's LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan). It specifically addresses instruction, social emotional learning, and parent engagement.
There are five staff members and five community members who comprise the team. We are in need of two community members to fill the positions of members whose terms expired. Terms last two years.
There are typically four or five meetings spread between October and late May. Each meeting is generally 45 minutes immediately after school, with an agenda that is a template created by CUSD for all schools to follow.
Should you have the desire, please reply to this message by Wednesday of this week so that we may create a ballot. Our first SSC meeting is loosely calendared in three to four weeks.
