School Site Council

Due to circumstances, we are looking for four parents to be on our School Site Council.  On paper, it is a two year gig.

SSC is an advisory group of teachers, parents, and administrators who work together to monitor a school's LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan).  It specifically addresses instruction, social emotional learning, and parent engagement.

There are five staff members and five community members who comprise the team.  (If there is a parent who is also an employee, that person may fill only one role.)

There are typically four or five meetings spread between October and late May.  Each meeting is generally 30-45 minutes immediately after school, with an agenda that is a template created by CUSD for all schools to follow.
