GOLD finished the lesson and will be working on another activity on Thursday when I continue the lesson with GREEN. HW will be corrected on Friday for both cores. Their first QUIZ will be Friday covering L1.1-1.3.  Math HW - I have corrected L1.1 HW and will pass it back tomorrow. It is worth 5 points. I have high expectations for the correction of HW problems and have reviewed with them what I want to see. The following is a good measure of what needs to be done to earn credit: 5 pts: all work completed, each problem has a red mark to show you have checked it, incorrect answers are corrected AND there is an explanation of WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE to have completed it correctly. (not something like "I read the question wrong") 4 pts: all work is completed, each problem has a red mark to show you have checked it, incorrect answers are corrected. You are missing an explanation of WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE to have completed it correctly. 3 pts: work not completed, no red marks, no explanations. 2 pts: I won't give less than 3 pts. Science: The first vocabulary download and vocab card creation was today. I showed them how we create our vocabulary notes, make vocab cards, tape them in and then log the work in our index when finished. All steps must be followed each time we work in our Science Composition Book... very important! The cards are the ONLY ASSIGNMENT THAT I DON'T TAKE LATE. I will be checking for them tomorrow, first thing. Their neighbor will count the number of cards and that is their score. No chance for make ups. My expectation is that they study with the cards each night for 10 minutes. If you were absent, please come in in the morning to get the notes/instructions. PE: GOLD core played kickball on the baseball field - odds vs. evens. trueMM/DD/YYYY
