The RHMS Winter Concert is less than two weeks away! I hope you're hearing tons of focused practicing at home as we prepare for the big night! Read on for an approximate schedule and some important details.
When: Wednesday, December 14th, 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Where: RHMS Gym
Schedule:
6:30 PM - Beginning Band students arrive (meet in Band Room)
7:00 PM - Beginning Band performs
7:20 PM - Intermediate Band performs
7:45 PM - Advanced Band performs
Important Notes:
-Please be prepared to wear the proper band uniform! Black shoes, black socks, and black slacks are required!
-Intermediate and Beginning Band students are welcome to use school-owned shoes free of charge (stop by my office after school- sizes are limited- first come, first served)
-Please plan to stay for the entire event! Please watch all three performing ensembles!
-Beginning Band students need to arrive at 6:30 PM. All other students should arrive at 7:00 PM.
-There will be another fabulous bake sale! Here is a message from our wonderful Bake Sale Coordinators:
Winter Band Concert Bake Sale
6:30pm to 8:30pm, Wednesday, 14th December
The Marshall Lane coffee van Awake Up Call will be serving assorted hot, delicious drinks!
We will also be selling hot dogs for $1, along with our usual selection of fabulous baked goods!
Please stop by to support the RHMS Music Boosters!
Also, please look out next week for information on donating and volunteering on the night of the concert.

I hope to see you there! Attached is the agenda for tinight's meeting at 6:30 PM in the RHMS Cafeteria.
The band shirt order form is due by the end of this week (11/10). Beginning Band students must order a band t-shirt, which will be worn for all of our performances. Additionally, all are welcome to order band sweatshirts, although those are optional. You will find the form attached to this notification. Thanks!
Thanks again for participating in the band fundraiser last month! It was a resounding success that will prove to be quite helpful for the music program!
Some of the items have arrived and will be available for pick-up after school next week in room N2 (next door to the band room). Please plan to pick these items up as soon as possible so that you can deliver them to your customers!
Please plan to attend the Music Booster meeting on Monday, 10/24, especially if you'd like more information concerning volunteer opportunities and the inner workings of the music program. Music Booster meetings are held at 6:30 PM in the RHMS cafeteria.
The Advanced Band's first performance of the year will be on Wednesday, 10/26, at 7:00 PM in the RHMS Gym! These fine musicians will be presenting a program filled with spooky, sinister, spine-tinglingly entertaining pieces that will delight audience members of all ages. We hope to see you there!
Although attendance by the members of the Beginning Band is optional, this event is a wonderful way for the first-year band students to see what band concerts are like and to watch more experienced musicians play the same instruments they are working to learn. We hope you consider attending this fun event!
I hope you had some success participating in the music program's largest fundraiser of the year! Please turn in all your order forms and money as soon as possible. We'd like to have all the materials by Monday, 10/3.
