Hello Band Community,

(This is a note from your Music Booster President.)

Notes and Floats is on June 7 and so we need to get all contributions by Friday 6/2.  Mr. R has taken our kids to such extraordinary heights in their music development with exceptional success in the Great America competition.  This is the time to show how much we appreciate him.  Every year, I am just unbelievably amazed by him.

Steve needs time to go to the bank to deposit all checks and get the cashier's check.

Please put this gift in a sealed envelope with "Steven Waste" written on the outside.  You can deposit this in the music booster box in the classroom or our safe in the school office with Sue Odom.  Cash is preferred over check as we have a parent volunteer (Steven Waste) who is overseeing this and will getting this cashier check from these funds.  If you write a check, please make it payable to Steven Waste.

We usually get the question of what is the normal amount and on average it is $20-50 per family.

Unfortunately, this was the only way to communicate to all the bands.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to email me at oktanm@gmail.com or Steve at wastrel@me.com.

Thank you so much!

This is a note from your Music Booster President.

I cannot believe the year is almost over.  It is crazy how fast it goes each year.  It is a tradition for us to present our end of the year gift to Mr. R at the Notes and Floats, which is on June 7.

If you would like to contribute, please put this gift in a sealed envelope with "Steven Waste" written on the outside.

Please provide your gift by Friday 6/2.  This will give Steve time to go to the bank to deposit all checks and get the cashier's check.

Unfortunately, this was the only way to communicate to all the bands.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to email me at oktanm [at] gmail.com or Steve at wastrel [at] me.com.

It's on!  We will be sorting and filing sheet music in the band room after school tomorrow!  We would love to have a few helpers, and your efforts will pay off in community service hours!

Updated Wed, May 3rd

I need to notify any who are interested in helping out with the music library project of a slight change in plans.  The first work session will now be after school on Wednesday, May 10th.  Due to unforseen circumstances, the session today had to be cancelled.

Updated Mon, May 1st

We are looking for a few student volunteers to help get the sheet music library back in shape before the summer vacation.  This project may take a few after-school work sessions before it is completed.  Volunteers will sort the unfiled music, check each folder for completeness, and file it away in the library.  The time you spend helping with this project will definitely count toward community service requirements.

The first work session will be Wednesday, 5/3, in the band room after school.  Please let Mr. R know if you'd like to help out!

It's time to return your band shoes!  Please place them in the shoe bag, make sure your name is on the bag, and take them to the back corner of N2 (near the uniform room) as soon as you can!

Thanks!
