About me:
I teach Grade 6 Language Arts, Literature, and Social Studies. This quote by Elena Aguilar from her article ""Why Do You Teach? What Sustains Us in Our Work"" succinctly summarizes why I love teaching: "I teach because, for me, it's the most effective and most enjoyable way to change the world. That's the bottom line: We need to change this world, and this is the way I'm choosing to do it. Teaching allows me to work on hearts and minds, to guide people in becoming empowered, literate, engaged, creative, liberated human beings who want to join in this effort to change the world."

In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading, skiing (both water and snow), playing and watching soccer, solving algebraic equations, diagramming sentences, petting my doggies and kitty, listening to music, eating chocolate, and traveling! :)
