Ethen Frugoli

I am truly honored to join the Rolling Hills staff this year!

This will be my fourth year teaching middle school; I previously taught at West Valley Middle School from 2010-2012 wherein I took a few years off after having my two kids.  I returned last year and taught the Language Arts Honors courses for 6th-8th grade.  I can absolutely say with 100% convicition that 8th grade is by far my favorite grade to teach. I love their goofiness, emerging personalities, and watching them transition into high school sudents.  My class, including the curriculum, procedures, and guidelines, are all geared towards preparing my students for their high school and college years.  As a former High School Prep advisor, I am intimately aware of the high standards and expectations of the Silicon Valley's public and private schools and am therefore confident that I will prepare all of my students for success in high school and beyond.

Fun Facts:

Contrary to popular belief, I wasn't named Ethen because my parents wanted a boy...my mom just really liked the name.

I minored in Medieval British Literature in college and am absolutely obsessed with the literature of this time period as well as Tudor history.

I have two beautiful, ACTIVE, and fearless kids; my daughter Scarlett is four and my son Holden is 2. Naturally, we named them after my favorite literary characters.

Two things I cannot live without: air conditioning and Cherry Chapstick

-I can never answer the queston, "what is your favorite book?" way too much pressure...same goes for favorite movie:)
