We have an RHMS school rally on Friday, 3/16.

The next Magic the Gathering meeting is on Monday, 3/26 in room B-1.

T2 Academic Awards Assembly is on Thursday, 3/29.

A message from our librarian, Mrs. Panus:

We will be having our Scholastic Spring Book Fair April 16-April 20, 2018.

I am looking for volunteers for the following times:

Monday – Set up Book Fair – no help needed

We will open to the students:

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

1st Lunch – 11:40 – 12:20

2nd Lunch – 12:35 – 1:15

Wednesday – 11:50 – 12:35

Volunteers may contact me via email:  gpanus [at] campbellusd.org or phone: 408-364-4235 x 5188.

I am opting out of opening at break because volunteers are usually unavailable for the short time and the crowds are too overwhelming.

Therefore, the book fair will be open at lunch and after school for 30 minutes.

Any help is appreciated.  If I do not have enough volunteers for this event I may have to cancel it entirely.

Thank you for your time.

Homework for 3/12/18:

Language Arts (Perris only):  We have begun reading the novel, Jaguar, in class.  Students are responsible for keeping a composition book (black and white).  The composition book will be collected and graded (as an assessment) twice during the unit — once about half way through the novel and again at the end of the novel.  There will be a quiz after chapter 10 (includes chapters 1-10).  Additionally, there will be a final project at the end of the unit.

We will also begin our unit on argumentative writing the week of 3/26.  This unit will take us up to spring break.  Students WILL need access to a computer at home.  Please let me know if there is a problem.  Thanks for your support.

Language Arts (Chen only):  Complete the reading log

Social Studies (Perris only):  Students should begin looking over their pink packets in preparation for the China test next week.  The test will be either Wednesday, 3/21 or Thursday, 3/22.  The test will consist of 40 questions, including multiple choice, matching, short answer, and True/False.  We will begin our unit on Ancient Greece next.

Science (All):  No homework

Reading/Literature (Perris only):  Please read 30 MINUTES every day at home.

If you want to find out if the book your child is reading is an AR book, please go to www.arbookfind.com.  Please have your child see me if he/she needs help with book selection.

Have a good night.
