Happy Baskin-Robbins Thursday,
Please return the conference forms as soon as possible (even if you do not think your child needs a conference at this time).  Conference week is October 15-October 19.  Students will be released from school every day at 1:08 pm.
Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair will be held October 15 - 19, 2018 (conference week).  Ms. Panus (RHMS librarian) is looking for volunteers for the following times:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 

Break - 9:45 - 10:05

Lunch – 11:05 - 12:00

After School – 1:08 – 2:00

Tuesday/Thursday:

Break - 9:45 - 10:05

Lunch - 11:05 - 12:00

After School – 1:08 – 3:00

Important information for both groups:
1.  Cookie dough FUNDRAISER is underway!  Order forms must be returned on Friday, Oct. 12.  Your child will receive 40% of the profit they’ve earned from selling cookie dough.  Cookie dough will be delivered directly to the school for pick up. Cookie Dough will be delivered to RHMS on November 15 (Thursday).   It must be picked up that day.

he 2018-2019 yearbook is now available for purchase! The cost is $35 for the basic book (but you can personalize it for an extra cost). You can order your book online at jostensyearbooks.com.  When choosing the school, make sure you choose the RHMS in Los Gatos (there is more than one RHMS in California.) 
 
3.  Baskin-Robbins Thursdays - Visit the Baskin-Robbins across the street and tell them that you are from Rolling Hills.  20% of the sales from that day will be donated to the RHMS science camp fund.  ***Thursdays ONLY!!

Reading/Literature:  AR BOOK CHECK TOMORROW - GOLD GROUP ONLY
READ 20 mins. every night including weekends!   
Language Arts:
*Complete brainstorming worksheet — This is just a note-taking worksheet.  Students will begin writing their short stories tomorrow.  We reviewed this sheet in class, so students should know how to complete it.
Computers must be used for this assignment.  An instruction sheet was given to students today in class.  
*Grammar quiz TOMORROW
*Vocabulary packet due TOMORROW
Math:  No homework
 
Science:   Second science packet due TOMORROW
Social Studies:  REMEMBER to bring the Epic of Gilgamesh illustration back to class TOMORROW
